No. Complete your profile and you receive 50 free Credits right away — no wallet needed. A wallet is only required when you want Go3 sent to your on-chain address, or when you want to top up Credits by purchasing $ORNG.
Go3 is your on-chain XP — a blockchain-verified score of how active you are in the Orange ecosystem. You earn it by logging into projects (10 Go3 per project, up to 5 projects a day), saving or reviewing a project (+5 Go3), spending Credits (+1 Go3 per 10 Credits), or referring friends (+100 Go3 instant bonus). The daily cap is 250 Go3 for every player — no exceptions.
Credits are the in-app currency you spend to play apps and boost them on Trending. You get 50 Credits free when you complete your profile. You can earn more by referring friends (+50 Credits when your referral spends their welcome Credits), or by purchasing them with $ORNG at a rate of 1 $ORNG = 5 Credits. Credits have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash.
As you accumulate Go3 over time, you move through five Status Tiers: Observer, Explorer, Navigator, Pioneer, and Visionary. Your tier determines the multiplier applied to your monthly leaderboard payout — Visionary players receive 2× the Go3 rewards of an Explorer. Unlike the monthly leaderboard, your Status Go3 never resets, so your tier only ever goes up.
The leaderboard tracks your activity within each calendar month. At 12:00 AM UTC on the 1st, a snapshot is taken, your payout is calculated (your score × your Status Tier multiplier), and then the monthly score resets to zero so everyone starts fresh. Go3 is airdropped to your linked wallet within 5 days of month end.
Boosting pushes an app up the Trending rail, giving it more visibility on Orange Jam. You spend Credits and earn back Go3 — 1 Go3 for every 10 Credits you spend. The app gets exposure; you get on-chain XP. It's support that earns you something in return.
Avalanche is a fast, low-fee blockchain. Orange Jam uses it to issue Go3 to your wallet and record your activity on-chain. You don't need to know anything about blockchain to use Orange Jam — it runs in the background. If you're curious, you can connect a wallet any time to see your balance.
